It's back. Our second Viberg for Withered Fig 145 Oxford comes fully loaded with this beautiful Horween Crust Horsebutt. A leather sole makes this less rugged in feel and form than its predecessor, but we added in a vintage Cat's Paw heel as a little detail to provide some added traction. Standard Withered Fig markers in the 1035 last and alternate tongue round out the Franklin Oxford.
On the leather, Horween's Crust Horsebutt leather is highly inconsistent and variable from section to section, from pair to pair. Take a look through the last few photos on this page and you'll see this variance. If you're one for highly consistent leather with zero cosmetic blemishes, this may not be the pair for you. However, if you can see this leather for its natural character, raw state, and the potential for it to develop a rich patina, you will be richly rewarded over time.
The 145 Oxford Shoe is based off of the mid-1900s Oxfords. More of a work shoe than a dress shoe; more of a workhorse than an elegant stallion; and a little more chunky than their Derby's, which culminates everything into a true heritage work shoe appearance.
Note: Oiling this leather will darken it quite a bit. Included with each pair is one bottle of 1 oz Venetian shoe cream.
Sizing: Please read our sizing information on our for details. In general, these tend to run 1/4 to 1/2 size long, but we still recommend sizing down one from your Brannock device size (e.g. 10D Brannock, Size 9 in the 145 Oxford) instead of going down another 1/2 in most cases.
